Next, complete all four sections of your member profile.
The numbers next to each section show how much information still needs to be entered.
Once you agree with the member agreement, you can choose a membership period.
Both options are one time payments, not automatically renewed. However, you will receive an email when your subscription is close to expiring.
The last step is to use PayPal or a credit card to finish payment. If you don't have a PayPal account, you can still pay with a card by clicking "Continue".
Once your payment is processed (usually immediately), you will have full access to the site. Please remember that your profile will be reviewed by site administrators after you join.
Go to your inbox to check your messages. The Inbox tab will always display how many unread messages you have.
Once viewing a thread, reply at the bottom of the message list. All replies go onto the end of the thread.
On the Profile tab, you can view and edit any of your profile information.
At the top of each section is an Edit button which brings you to the editing page for that section.
The yellow information bar at the top of the profile lets you switch between viewing your private and public profiles.
Here you can search by a multitude of fields to find residences that fit your particular travel needs.
Tip: Returned users will always match ALL criteria, so if you aren't finding anyone try to be less specific.
Another option is to look at the member map and see if there are members near where you will be staying.
All active members are shown on the map if they have a valid location in their profile.
Tip: Enter any type of location in the location box. Try "UCLA" for example, or "Columbus".
Once you find someone in the search results or map, and view their profile, you will only see a very limited profile. Once you add them to your friend's list and they accept, you can view much more information.
Click the "Add Friend" button to do just that.
First go to the profile of the person you wish to contact, then scroll all the way to the bottom and compose your message.
