WHAT SERVICE DOES HOME TO HOME, INC. OFFER?
We offer Christian hospitality and fellowship while traveling by providing a directory of host families who love the Lord Jesus Christ. This presents an excellent opportunity to develop friendships and strengthen unity in the body of Christ between those who participate. Whether you are looking for a destination that's urban, suburban, or rural, along the coast, in the mountains, or on the plains, HOME TO HOME offers many wonderful locations to choose from! We currently have hundreds of members locations. Additionally, key information is available about the local attractions and/or events from your Christian host family. A third advantage is the exceptional financial savings realized, as conventional lodging costs typically are a major expense when families choose to travel. Whether you are on vacation, visiting relatives, attending a convention, etc. you can enjoy family-style hospitality with fellow believers. HOME TO HOME is your family away from home.

HOW DO WE PREPARE FOR HOSTING A FAMILY?
Pray for safe travel, protection and peace for your guests before their arrival. We request, at a minimum, a clean room/area for sleeping and washing up be provided. Consider if the room/area is one you would be pleased to stay in. Remember that the family may be road weary from traveling and may wish to go directly to sleep. Greet the guests as you would greet members of your own family, remembering we are all one family in Christ. Please be encouraged to open your hearts as well as your home. Extenuating circumstances may arise from time to time that make hosting unpractical. We simply ask that you prayerfully consider each request. Meal preparation is not required.

WHAT IS CONSIDERED PROPER GUEST ETIQUETTE?
Please contact your host well in advance of your planned visit. Pray for your hosts before your arrival. Please arrive in the evening and leave in the morning unless other arrangements have been made in advance. Always maintain a Christ-like attitude. Be flexible, please abide by the host's house rules, and be sensitive to the host family's schedule and routine. Monitor your children at all times, be respectful of one another's privacy, and leave the area provided for you cleaner than when you arrived -- with a short note of thanks. WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO USE OUR HOME TO HOME MEMBERSHIP?
You, your spouse and your dependents. Extended family members may participate without membership in HOME TO HOME, provided you and/or your spouse and/or your dependents are part of the traveling party.

CAN WE BE GUESTS IN OTHER MEMBERS' HOMES (DIRECTORY MEMBERS) IF WE ARE UNABLE TO HOST OTHERS?
Yes. All you need to do is establish a host-only member family (they can be any Christian friend, family member, etc. located anywhere in the world) and have them send in a completed membership application, noting that they will be a host family in your stead.

ARE WE COMPENSATED FINANCIALLY WHEN GUESTS STAY IN OUR HOME?
It does happen occasionally but that should not be the motive for participating. Because of legalities concerning insurance liabilities and tax issues, we do not require guests to compensate hosts financially. However, we do ask all guests to leave a small gift as a token of appreciation for the hospitality shown to them. This gift has ranged from flowers to cards to baked goods to produce to crafts, and yes, occasionally money.

DO YOU OFFER ANY DISCOUNTS?
Yes, if you are a single parent, pastor, or missionary, you are entitled to a Directory Membership for only $20.00 per year. Also, if you recommend HOME TO HOME to another Christian family (located anywhere in the world) who joins as a result of your recommendation, you receive a 10% discount. If three or more families join as a result of your recommendation, you will receive a free renewal for the next year!

FEE SCHEDULE:
Directory Member: $60.00 Initial set-up fee
Directory members are given a user name and password which allow them full access to our online directory. Directory members may request free lodging as often as they wish while traveling, as long as they spend no more than one night with each host (per trip).  Directory memberships must be renewed annually, but for only $40.00 per year.

Host-only Member: $20.00 per year
Host-only Members are given their own personal listing in our online directory so they may enjoy fellowship with traveling members who ask to stay in their homes.  Host-only Members are given a user name and password which allow them full access to our online directory (for networking and fellowship purposes only--not for traveling).

All payment must be made in US funds.

WHAT EXACTLY IS A WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE HOME?
Wheelchair accessible means that a ramp can be utilized for entering the home via a wheelchair or that a minimum number of steps (2 or less) will need to be negotiated in order to enter the home.
